🚨 Red Alert and Widespread Destruction

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a Red Alert for several districts including Mandi, Kangra, and Sirmaur, warning of extremely heavy rainfall and potential landslides. Over 260 roads, including 176 in Mandi alone, have been rendered impassable due to landslides and flooding.

This is time to be alert for all the citizens and tourist whoever planning for trip in this monsoon.

Entire villages have been cut off, with visuals showing homes swept away, bridges collapsed, and vehicles submerged in gushing waters. Emergency teams from the NDRF, SDRF, Army, and ITBP are racing against time to rescue those trapped in remote areas and affected flood area.

Infrastructure Crippled

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu stated that the actual losses may exceed β‚Ή700 crore as assessments continue. Relief camps have been set up, and financial aid is being distributed to affected families.
